America’s Ending- Scary Movie

HetaliaXReader

You woke up from your nap and rubbed your eyes. Sitting up, you looked out your window and noticed that the sun was starting to set. You knew you wouldn’t need to sleep for a good long while and you felt like going out. Sure, you had some homework, but you could always do it tomorrow. Racing down the stairs, you saw a note left for you by your parents saying that they were working late and wouldn’t be home till very early in the morning. Cool; you were free to do whatever you wanted. After thinking about it for a few minutes, you decided that you wanted to go out and stroll around town. You smiled, excited about discovering new places and shops. Quickly grabbing your keys, you ran out of the house and down the sidewalk toward town.

-Timeskippers-

You’d always been a fan of the night. Neon signs, people dressed up, and shadows mixing with streetlight beams just gave you an awesome feeling. A lot of neon ahead of you caught your attention and you smiled when you realized that it was a movie theatre. You weren’t sure if there were any movies out that interested you, so you weren’t going to bother looking, but it was still good to know where the theatre was for future reference. When you began passing the line of people who were buying tickets, however, someone called your name. Puzzled, you scanned the area until you saw a person in line waving at you and you sighed. Of all people to run into, why him?

“Yo dudette! What are you doing out here?” Alfred F. Jones asked.

“Walking”, you said simply as you came over to him. “What about you?”

“I’m seeing the new horror movie that came out today, Nightmare on Pine Street. It’s supposed to be super scary”, he answered. His voice sounded excited, but you thought his blue eyes betrayed him by showing a little fear.

Smirking, you called him out on it. “Aren’t you a little afraid to watch something so scary alone?”

“I’m not scared (f/n)! I’m a hero and heroes don’t get scared!” Alfred protested, “Although, I did ask a few people, but they all were busy…but hey! You aren’t doing anything; why don’t you watch the movie with me?”

  “Wha-me?!” you exclaimed, “I can’t…I mean…I’m not interested…”

Alfred suddenly made a really sad face. “Aw really?”, he murmured dejectedly and you felt guilt stab you through the heart. How could you turn down someone when they made a face like that?!

“I-I guess…I can stay and watch it with you”, you muttered.

Alfred instantly perked back up and fist-pumped the air. “Alright! Thanks a ton (f/n) and don’t worry about scary monsters or anything ‘cuz Hero Alfred is here to protect you!” He grabbed your hand and pulled you up to the ticket guy, before you could respond. He paid for both tickets, which you were grateful for since you hadn’t brought any money with you, and dragged you to the theatre. He sat you down in the front row and dropped down next to you, laughing.

“This is gonna be so cool!”, he cheered.

You rolled your eyes. You had some very mixed feelings about this. Horror movies weren’t really your thing, but they didn’t really bother you either. The main thing that was bothering you was that you were with Alfred. You really couldn’t understand him. He was so loud and obnoxious, but wasn’t all bad either. He was cheerful and positive; not to mention good looking. He had pretty eyes that his glasses framed perfectly. He had the perfect haircut and the little cowlick on the top of his head was adorable.

Alfred waved his hand in front of your face and you blushed, realizing that you had been staring at him. You quickly faced away and up at the screen, only to find out that the movie previews had come on. You distracted yourself by watching them, but every so often, you would glance at Alfred out of the corner of your eye. He seemed to change as the previews continued, from excited to nervous to freaked out. When the actual movie started, he looked like a mess.

You were a little amused, but annoyed at the same time. If he was this bad already, then why watch the movie? It couldn’t possibly be that bad. The first jumpscare didn’t take too long in showing up and you nearly jumped out of your skin, but not because of the movie. Alfred had snatched your hand, squeaking in terror. He was holding your hand very tightly with such a strong grip that you were sure he was going to accidently brake your hand. You just tried to focus on the movie and did manage to get into it. Maybe too into it. Alfred hadn’t been joking when he said that this movie was scary. In fact, scary was an understatement. It was terrifyingly frightening! The next jumpscare horrified you so much that you clung to Alfred’s arm and buried your face in his shoulder. He didn’t seem to mind; he held onto you too; the two of you silently screaming. You were so pleased when the end credits started rolling. You looked at Alfred, seeing your relief reflected in his eyes. He smiled suddenly and you felt your heart skip a beat. You let go of him and looked away.

“Well, I guess we should go”, you murmured, your cheeks hot with embarrassment and…what else?

“Yeah, sure”, Alfred agreed, standing up and walking with you out of the theatre.

You stepped outside and took a deep breath. The theatre had been kind of stuffy with all those people inside, so it felt good to be out in the fresh air.

“That movie was totally cool!” Alfred cheered and you chuckled a bit.

“Glad you had a good time. I did too…”, you trailed off, fiddling with your fingers in nervousness.

“It was way more fun with you there”, Alfred said, his eyes and voice suddenly soft, “Thanks a ton (f/n)”.

You were completely shocked. You had no idea he could turn so sweet in a millisecond.

“Maybe we could do this again sometime?” Alfred asked, looking hopeful.

“Sure thing. I’d love to”, you answered quickly, smiling.

Alfred smiled wide and thanked you again. He suddenly leaned down and kissed you on the cheek, before racing off down the sidewalk, waving as he went. You stared after him in astonishment, putting a hand to where his lips had touched your skin. You smiled slowly and started walking home, feeling lighter than a feather. Scary movies just totally became your thing.
I'm sure the Nightmare on Elm/Pine/Oak/Redwood Street pun has already been done but whatever.
Alfie is my favorite Hetalia character to write for. Him, England, and Prussia are just too fun! I'm going to start calling them the Fun Trio. Alfred was a big sweetie in this and I hope you all enjoyed his adorableness!

I do not own :iconhawtamerica3plz: or Hetalia or you.
I do own the story though so HA.
