Chapter 11- Science!

HetaliaXReader

“I know! Why don’t we all visit Feli after school today or tomorrow?!” you exclaimed. You were sure Feliciano would love to see them and maybe Kiku and Ludwig would feel better about it too.

“You and Kiku could go, but I can’t. Feli’s brother doesn’t like me very much”, Ludwig said.

  “Lovino? How come?” you asked.

“I don’t know. Vhenever I go over there he insults me and picks a fight, vhich is dumb since he’s a covard vho runs avay if I barely lift a hand”.

You actually weren’t that surprised. Lovino was a prickly guy, though you didn’t know he was a coward. The thought was actually kind of funny that you couldn’t help but smile at it.

“Well, maybe Kiku and I could still go then?” you said, turning your (e/c) gaze over to the boy next to you.

“Possibry, I’rr have to check to see if I don’t arready have something to do those days”, he responded.

You frowned as the bell rang. It seemed too early for it to be going off, but the guys stood up so you did too.

“Ve have the same science class correct?” Ludwig asked you and at your nod, he continued, “Then I’ll take you there. It’s close by so if you ever forget vhere it is, I’ll you have to do is remember that’s by here”.

You nodded again and the two of you said good-bye to Kiku. You followed Ludwig to the classroom, taking note of how he marched more than he walked. You giggled and blushed when he looked at you quizzically.

“Just thought of something funny; don’t worry about it”, you lied. You exhaled a bit in relief when he bought it and stopped in front of a door. He opened the door, letting you in first and you smiled at him as you stepped inside. The room screamed ‘science’. There were posters of formulas, Einstein, and the periodic table everywhere and the tables were straight and orderly, four chairs at each one. The teacher wasn’t in the room yet, but a few of the students were. There was a really pretty girl standing at the back of the room while a boy with his brown hair tied back tried to talk to her. She was ignoring him, however, and staring at another boy with silver hair. He looked uncomfortable under her glare and was fidgeting in his chair. You wondered what was going on, but Ludwig got your attention and you turned to look at him. A man who was obviously the teacher was standing next to him. He was chubby and short with red hair and glasses. He looked at you and smiled in a friendly way.

“Are you my new student?” he asked.

“Yes, I’m (f/n) (l/n)”, you told him, shaking his hand when he stuck it out for you to shake.

“I’m Mr. Jensen. I hope you’ll have a good time in my class!” he said, kindly. He motioned for you to follow him and you walked with him to his desk. He sat down, clicking into a tab on his computer and said, “There are a few different spots open in this class period, so when everyone comes in and takes their seats, you can pick whichever empty seat you want and I’ll make that your seat.”

You nodded and watched other kids come in. You smiled and waved at Elizabeta as she came in with a very serious looking male who was being teased by Ludwig’s brother, Gilbert. A few other interesting people came in and they all took their places. There were a lot of open seats. Gilbert, Elizabeta, and the serious kid had an open seat. There were two open seats in the back with the pretty girl you’d seen before and another girl who had kind of a big chest but looked like a nice person. Ludwig was sitting at the front table by himself. This was just like in your math class, the kids sat towards the back unless they wanted to pay attention. You sat down next to Ludwig and you watched Mr. Jensen type it into his computer. He then stood up and turned on a projector which brought up notes on the board that he began talking about. You took out a (f/c) notebook that you had brought specifically for science. You wrote down most of the notes but you were kind of a slow writer so you missed some of the information. You stole a glance at Ludwig’s notes, impressed by how organized and thorough they were. He even wrote down some of the extra things Mr. Jensen said that weren’t up on the board. You kept looking at Ludwig’s paper when you needed to get some missing info, hoping he wouldn’t mind. He seemed pretty absorbed in what the teacher was saying so you figured it didn’t matter.

“Alrighty then kids! We are going to do a fun lab!” Mr. Jensen cheered. He frowned as most of the students groaned and continued, “Hey, come on, it isn’t that bad. You get to work with chemicals and see cool reactions. All you have to do is follow the directions and be careful. I don’t want any more broken beakers or anyone getting burned”.

You looked over the paper he passed out. The experiment looked simple enough; you just had to be careful with what you added to what. Ludwig was watching you expectantly and you listed off the things you would need. He got up and came back with everything and you both started working on it. You wrote down the hypothesis and the like while Ludwig delicately mixed the chemicals together. You jumped as you heard a bang and saw smoke over at Elizabeta and Gilbert’s table. Gilbert was laughing as Elizabeta and the other boy scolded him and Mr. Jensen walked over to them, crying, “How do you always manage to blow things up in here?!”

You giggled as Ludwig rolled his eyes.

“Your brother is the trouble making sort?” you joked.

Ludwig sighed, “Ja, he’s alvays been like that. He can’t do anything seriously”.

“Yeah, he does seem like a clown”, you agreed, watching Mr. Jensen taking the smoking test tube outside, “But he must be nice since he helped Feli out”.

Ludwig nodded, saying, “He’s known Feliciano about as long as I have. They’re friendly to each other so that makes things easier”.

“If he doesn’t like someone, then he shows it?”

“Ja and he’ll say it to their faces. He isn’t very subtle”.

You chuckled a little and watched the liquid in the beaker change color as Ludwig poured in the last chemical mixture. It changed from clear to red, then to blue and started smoking just a tiny bit. Mr. Jensen came back in and walked up to your table, his eyes bright with approval.

“Excellent job; you two nailed it!” he praised.

You saw Ludwig looked very pleased with the teacher’s admiration and you smiled, feeling very proud of yourself as well. You cleaned up the test tubes and beakers at the sink while Ludwig washed off the table. You kept looking back, giggling at how meticulous he was about cleaning every single spot on the tabletop. It was so obvious that he was a neat freak which was funny and cute. You walked back to the table as the bell rang and kids dashed out of the room with Mr. Jensen calling after them to not forget the homework. You picked up your stuff and straightened as Ludwig waited for you.

  “Ready?”

“Yep”, you answered and you said goodbye to Mr. Jensen as you left to go meet up with Kiku at your lunch table.
I enjoyed writing this one more than I thought I would. :)

I added Gilbert and Elizabeta in the science class just cause I wanted Gil to blow something up. XD And they weren't the only ones to appear! I managed to slip in some cameos of other countries. Cookies to those who get it. I made them pretty obvious.

I don't own Hetalia.
I DO own the story and Mr. Jensen and the other teachers (forgot to mention this before)
I still don't own you.
